At Cubeit Portable Storage, we’re proud to be part of a family of companies that believes in giving back to the communities we serve.

This past summer, we were especially thrilled to celebrate our sister company, Access Storage, and their sponsorship of the Manitoba Runners' Association John Wichers Family Ice Cream Runs, a delightful series of family-friendly running events that brought people together through fun, fitness, and a little bit of sweetness.

Movement That Brings People Together

Every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. throughout July and August, families, kids, and runners of all backgrounds gathered for the Family Ice Cream Runs. These welcoming events weren’t just about getting active—they were about making movement enjoyable and accessible.

Children were encouraged to take their first strides in the sport, while parents rediscovered the simple pleasure of being active outdoors.

Supporting Wellness Across the Country

Access Storage has a strong history of supporting running events from coast to coast—from the record-breaking Vancouver Sun Run to meaningful charitable races like the Run for the Cure.

Their involvement in the Family Ice Cream Runs reflects the shared mission we embrace at Cubeit: to champion healthier lifestyles and build stronger, more connected communities wherever we operate, including with our convenient portable storage in Winnipeg.

Yes, There Was Ice Cream

What made these events even more special? The well-earned ice cream waiting at the finish line. These midweek runs were filled with laughter, high-fives, and proud finishers—many of them enjoying their first race.

The sweet treat afterward was the perfect reward and a great reminder that balance matters. Fun, family, fitness—and a cone or two to top it all off.

Looking Ahead

At Cubeit, we’re proud to stand alongside Access Storage in supporting grassroots events that help Canadians get moving and stay connected. The Family Ice Cream Runs were a shining example of how something simple—like a community run—can make a lasting impact.

To everyone who came out this summer—runners, walkers, volunteers, and cheer squads—thank you. You made every Wednesday night something to look forward to.

Here’s to more steps, more smiles. And, of course, more ice cream.
